LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Skill Development    Mission/Vision Clarification    Coaching    Strategy Planning    Staff Development

Our blueprint for leadership can be found throughout the life of Jesus Christ who grew and developed the disciples into the leaders of His Church. In Luke 22: 24-27 Jesus instructs His disciples that true greatness finds satisfaction in service. In order to lead, one must serve by putting the needs of others first. This philosophy is defined as servant leadership. The primary focus of  servant leadership within an organization is to share power, to put the needs of others first and to help people develop and achieve their full potential.

Building People First™ provides trainings, seminars, online instruction and coaching that is personalized and flexible to fit your needs. Our program is specifically designed for executive and senior leadership, staff, lay leaders and volunteers. Historically in most organizations your best and up and coming leaders were your best 'Doer's', but today your best leaders must be your best 'Developers'. The top organizational leaders of today must become proficient at developing five key areas (The 5 P's) and embodying ten tenets for life changing leadership growth to become not only a reality, but to become the new normal.
Minimize Micro Management Blues with Initiative, Excellence and Communication
Ten Tenets for Life Changing Leadership
  • Do it Yourself! (Model all that you teach)
  • Employ vision-based leadership
  • Pareto's Principle Prevention Plan (Abolish the 80/20 rule)
  • Develop vs. Manage
  • Empower vs. Delegate
  • Monitor results vs. activities
  • Create a "teachable moments" training culture
  • Remember that life is about people, not projects
  • Lead with humility
  • Always remember, the team doesn't have to do anything
